Travel Group
The Trinity Travel Group meets to share travel experiences and fellowship. The group offers a chance to hear about and see pictures of places you might like to go.
Each meeting has a theme, usually a country or region. The group focuses mostly on foreign travel, but some domestic adventures are included. For example, the group had a fun time doing Route 66 one evening.
The Travel Group usually meets the fourth Friday of the month at 7:30 pm in the Library, Room #2.

Meetings typically involve one or two couples or individuals sharing the presentation of their visits to a common country or region. Presentations sometimes include a digital presentation of pictures, and there is usually a table for other treasures brought back from the trips.
In general, the group does not travel as a group, but each spring the group does take a day trip as a group. In the past they've gone to San Juan Bautista; toured the "treasures"of the Santa Cruz mountains, toured Sunset Gardens, and toured Cantor Museum.
Twice a year, in the spring and fall, the group has a wine tasting party at one of the members homes. This is a very popular event, usually a full house!
Anyone who is interested in the evening topic is welcome to come join in the fellowship. It is the type of evening that is comfortable to invite friends to, or for visitors to the church to come get acquainted with others in the church.

May 25 -- The group enjoyed wine tasting at Curt and Sylvia Sperling's home. June 22 -- The group traveled to China with Ken and Peg Dorst and John and Margaret Thompson. July 27 -- The group enjoyed a potluck at the Lowell and Diana Baker's. August 24 -- The group explored India with Neal and Sylvia McGill. September 28 -- The group took a day trip by bullet train to San Francisco, coordinated by Marilyn Haynes and Diana Baker. |
